We prioritise resorts that have invested in coral restoration, renewable energy, responsible waste management, and locally sourced food. Prestige alone is not a reason to list a property. Where a resort's practices fall short of our standards, it does not appear in our collections.

Sri Lanka's traditional industries are disappearing. Handloom weaving, Dumbara mat weaving, lacquerwork, artisan pottery, and traditional mask carving are all facing decline as younger generations move toward urban employment. We route guests toward these crafts deliberately, placing money directly with the families who carry this knowledge. This is among the most meaningful contributions a travel company can make.

We partner with community enterprises, cooperatives, and social enterprises across Sri Lanka, ensuring a meaningful portion of each itinerary's spend reaches local communities rather than being extracted by intermediaries. We do not work with operators whose pricing model separates guests from the people who create the experience. Our community partners are chosen for the directness of the link between a booking and a local benefit.

We offer structured internship and training programmes for young Sri Lankans entering the travel and hospitality industry. Participants spend time across client relations, itinerary design, and operations. We track their career progress after placement and consider the advancement of former interns an active part of our mission. We view this investment as a contribution to the long term health of Sri Lankan tourism.

As a company whose primary market is Europe, we hold ourselves to the standards that matter to European travellers and regulators. We comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation, ensuring none of the journeys we facilitate contribute to deforestation or forest degradation.
